Monte de San Pedro: Panoramic Park, Elevator & Atlantic Viewpoint

Soar above A Coruña on the clifftop gardens of Monte de San Pedro, reached by a dramatic glass-and-steel elevator from sea level. The 360° panorama — coastline, city, harbour, and open Atlantic — is the finest urban viewpoint in Galicia.

What to expect

The panoramic elevator ascends through the hillside to manicured clifftop gardens with sculpture installations, a café terrace, and sweeping 360° vistas. On clear days you can see Cape Finisterre — the ancient 'end of the world' — on the horizon. The park is lightly visited on weekday mornings, giving an almost private feel. Pair with a stroll along the Paseo Marítimo back toward the Old Town for a perfect half-day.

Book it with

Free entry to park; elevator approx. EUR 1–2 (small fee, confirm on site)

Good to know

A 10-min taxi from the pier. Park opens from 09:00; elevator hours vary seasonally — check the Concello website. Best visited mid-morning for the clearest light. Combine with the Tower of Hercules (nearby) for a full coastal panorama morning.
