Step inside Frank Gehry's titanium masterpiece with a private expert guide who unlocks the stories behind the world's most celebrated contemporary art museum. The outdoor sculptures — Koons' 'Puppy' and Bourgeois' 'Maman' — are as unmissable as the galleries within.
What to expect
Your guide meets you at the titanium curves of the riverfront facade and leads you through the permanent collection's crown jewels — Richard Serra's immersive 'The Matter of Time' steel corridors, Rothko's colour fields, and rotating blockbuster temporary exhibitions. Outside, you circle the building to experience it as sculpture: the floral 'Puppy', the brooding spider 'Maman', and the fire-breathing 'Tulips'. Allow at least two hours inside; the museum café overlooking the Nervión is perfect for a post-tour coffee.
