Hvar Island Wine & Olive Oil Tasting with a Local Expert

Journey into Hvar's sun-drenched interior to visit boutique family estates producing some of Croatia's most celebrated wines and extra-virgin olive oils. Intimate, unhurried, and utterly delicious.

What to expect

Your guide collects you from the harbour and drives into the island's dramatic stone-terraced landscape, olive groves tumbling down to hidden bays. At the first estate, a fourth-generation winemaker pours bold Plavac Mali alongside a spread of local cheese and cured meats. The second stop is an organic olive-oil producer where you learn to taste oil with a professional's nose and palate. The landscapes alone — lavender fields, dry-stone walls, the Adriatic glinting below — are worth the journey. You return to Hvar town with a couple of bottles and a genuine connection to the island's culinary soul.

Good to know

Tours run morning to early afternoon, well within typical all-aboard windows. Hvar's steep interior roads require a 4WD transfer, which is included. Pre-book to secure a private slot; group size is capped for an intimate experience. Bring a small cool bag if you plan to purchase bottles.
