The emerald cove made famous by the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin, flanked by forested hills plunging into impossibly clear Ionian water. Add a sea-kayak and snorkel session and you have a perfect half-day of active luxury.
What to expect
Antisamos is a 15-minute drive from Sami port through lush green hills — dramatic in itself. The beach is wide, pebbly, and exceptionally clean, with rich blue-green water that earns its reputation. Your guide leads a coastal kayak route past hidden coves, pointing out marine life below. Afterwards, relax on a sun lounger with a chilled Ionian rosé from the beach taverna.
Good to know
Taxi from port ~EUR 15 each way (15 minutes). Morning sessions are best for calm water. Book kayak sessions in advance in peak season (July–August). Allow 3–4 hours for a fulfilling visit; easily combined with a Sami harbour lunch on return.
