Conquer the active La Soufrière volcano — the Caribbean's most dramatic summit at 4,049 ft — with a specialist guide. Steam vents, a crater lake, and 360° views of the Grenadines reward those who make the climb.
What to expect
Your guide collects you dockside and transfers you to the windward trailhead through lush rainforest. The 4-hour return hike weaves through cloud forest draped in bromeliads and tree ferns before emerging at the sulphurous crater rim. On a clear day you see Bequia, Mustique, and even Barbados. Descend via the leeward trail for different micro-landscapes and a refreshing river crossing at the base.
Good to know
Allow 7–8 hours port-to-port; confirm all-aboard time before booking. Wear sturdy trail shoes and bring a light rain layer — the summit creates its own weather. Pre-book at least 48 hours ahead; small groups fill fast. Bring cash in USD.
