What to expect
Geared up at Extremo's professional launch station, your group of maximum eight ascends to the first platform canopy-level with a panoramic sweep of the Nicoya Gulf in the distance. Thirteen cables of increasing length and speed follow, with guides at every station. The Tarzan swing — a 15-metre freefall before the rope catches you above the forest canopy — is optional but almost everyone takes the leap. The entire circuit takes 2.5 hours.

Extremo is a full day from Puntarenas (Monteverde is 2.5 hrs away) — plan an early 06:30 departure and confirm all-aboard time before booking. Weight limit applies (max 120 kg).
