Soar 715 metres above Åndalsnes aboard the Romsdalsgondolen cable car, then walk out onto the Rampestreken viewing platform — a cantilevered steel arrow projecting over the valley that delivers Norway's most vertiginous fjord panorama. Pure, effortless drama.
What to expect
The gondola departs from a station a short taxi or walk from the cruise dock, whisking you to the Nesaksla summit in minutes. At the top, the Rampestreken platform cantilevers dramatically over the valley — the photo opportunity alone is worth the trip. You can extend the experience with a short ridge walk toward Romsdalseggen before riding back down. The summit café serves excellent Norwegian waffles and coffee.
