Paddle through the raw, glacier-sculpted archipelago of Bohuslän — seal colonies, hidden coves, and barnacled skerries untouched by motor traffic. This is Sweden's coastline at its most elemental and intimate.
What to expect
Your certified guide launches from Lysekil harbour and leads you through a maze of polished granite islands, pointing out grey seals hauled out on sun-warmed rocks. Strokes are gentle — this is about immersion, not exertion — and rest stops on private skerries allow you to swim in crystal-clear Kattegat water. All equipment, wetsuit, and safety briefing are included; no prior paddling experience is required.
Good to know
Half-day sessions (3–4 hours) fit comfortably within a typical port call. Pre-book at least 48 hours ahead; wetsuits mean cold water is never a barrier. Return to the main quay is straightforward — allow 20 minutes before all-aboard.
