Trade the megaship for a sleek private yacht and sail Sydney Harbour at your own pace, threading between the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and hidden coves. This is Sydney as only a privileged few experience it — from the water, in silence.
What to expect
You board from the National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour and glide onto one of the world's great natural harbours. Under full sail (when winds allow) or motor, the skipper navigates past Fort Denison, Double Bay, Watsons Bay, and the dramatic Heads where the Pacific meets the harbour. Onboard, locally sourced antipasto, chilled wines, and Champagne are served on the sundeck. The perspective from the water onto the city's skyline — with the Bridge and Opera House framed together — is simply unmatched.
Good to know
Darling Harbour is approximately 15 minutes by taxi or a scenic 20-minute walk from the OPT. Private charters can be tailored to depart from and return to Circular Quay, directly adjacent to the OPT — confirm at booking. Request a morning or mid-morning departure to allow a generous all-aboard buffer. Book 2–4 weeks ahead for private charters, especially on weekends.
