Bell-Lloc Winery: Private Tasting at Costa Brava's Iconic Estate

Discover Bell-Lloc, the architecturally breathtaking Pritzker Prize–adjacent winery designed by RCR Arquitectes, hidden in a forest just inland from Palamos. An intimate private tasting of their celebrated Empordà wines in one of the most beautiful cellars in Europe is a true bucket-list moment.

What to expect

You descend into a subterranean cellar carved into the earth and clad in rusted Corten steel, designed by local architectural heroes RCR Arquitectes. A knowledgeable sommelier-host leads you through the estate's philosophy — sustainable viticulture, indigenous varietals, and terroir expression. The tasting typically includes three to four wines paired with local artisan products. The surrounding forest setting is serene and utterly removed from the tourist trail.

Good to know

Bell-Lloc is just 15 minutes from Palamos port — a short private taxi or pre-arranged car transfer. Visits are strictly by appointment only; book well in advance directly with the winery. Wear smart-casual attire appropriate for a luxury estate visit.
