Kayaking the Mandalselva River & Coastal Archipelago

Paddle silently through Mandal's glittering river delta and out into the island-studded Lister coast in a guided small-group sea kayak. Crystal-clear Norwegian waters, nesting seabirds, and secret skerries await just minutes from port.

What to expect

After a quick equipment fitting and safety briefing at the waterfront, you paddle downstream through Mandal's pretty riverfront before the delta opens into the archipelago. Your guide leads you between low granite skerries and through narrow sound passages, pointing out eider ducks, cormorants, and harbour seals. A mid-paddle rest on a private islet with Norwegian coffee and pastries is standard.
