USS Kittiwake Wreck Dive: Guided Private Scuba Experience

Descend on the deliberately sunk 76-metre US Navy submarine rescue vessel USS Kittiwake — the Caribbean's most celebrated modern wreck dive and a bucket-list entry for divers of any level.

What to expect

You gear up at the beachside dive shack and boat out to the Kittiwake, resting in just 19 metres of water off Seven Mile Beach — perfectly accessible for Advanced Open Water divers and beyond. Guide-led penetration dives take you through the engine room, decompression chambers and crew quarters, all colonised by vibrant coral and Caribbean reef fish. Between tanks, surface in sun-warmed waters and debrief over cold refreshments on the dive boat. Visibility regularly exceeds 30 metres.

Good to know

Must hold a minimum Open Water certification; Advanced OW recommended for wreck penetration. Book the private small-group dive at least 2 weeks ahead. Dive site is a short boat ride from the shop near Seven Mile Beach; factor in a 15-minute taxi from the tender pier.
