Swim to the world's only underwater post office, stamp a waterproof postcard at the ocean floor, then snorkel a kaleidoscopic marine sanctuary just minutes from Port Vila. One of the Pacific's most iconic and genuinely one-of-a-kind experiences.
What to expect
A five-minute boat ride from the waterfront lands you on tiny Hideaway Island, ringed by a protected marine sanctuary. Don a mask and fins and follow your guide over coral gardens alive with parrotfish, clownfish, and reef sharks before descending to the submerged post office to hand-cancel your waterproof postcard. Time above water is spent on the island's sandy beach with fresh coconuts and cold drinks. The marine park entry fee is included.
Good to know
Book directly with Yumi Tours to lock in a morning departure — afternoons can get busier. Waterproof postcards and stamps are provided on-site. The island is a 5-minute taxi ride from the cruise pier, then a short boat transfer. Gear and buoyancy aids are all supplied.
