Ascend into the misty, high-altitude Sierra Madre for a private tour of a historic coffee finca, one of Mexico's finest growing regions. From cherry to cup, this is specialty coffee culture at its most intimate and authentic.
What to expect
Your private transfer climbs into the cloud-forest foothills, arriving at a family-owned finca where the air smells of blossoms and earth. The estate manager walks you through nurseries, shade-grown plots, wet-milling, and drying patios, explaining the micro-climate that makes Chiapas coffee exceptional. A formal cupping session follows — slurping, scoring, comparing — before a leisurely lunch of regional cuisine on the finca veranda. You leave with a bag of freshly roasted, estate-labelled beans.
Good to know
Allow 5–6 hours including transfers. Roads into the Sierra Madre are mountain roads — comfortable but winding; note if any guests are prone to motion sickness. Best experienced in the dry season (Nov–Apr) when visibility and road conditions are ideal.
