Paddle into the perfect horseshoe lagoon of Voidokilia — one of Greece's most photographed beaches — on a small-group sea-kayaking journey through the Gulf of Navarino, finishing with a fresh taverna lunch at the water's edge. Utterly bucket-list.
What to expect
The excursion launches from the shores of the Gulf of Navarino, where the 1827 naval battle that secured Greek independence was fought — history visible in the bay itself. Small groups paddle along pristine coastline to arrive at Voidokilia's shimmering crescent from the sea, a perspective most visitors never experience. A certified guide leads the route and narrates both the ecology and mythology of the area. After paddling, a relaxed lunch of local Messenian flavours is served before the return journey.
