Glide by sea kayak through the Calanques National Park's secret sea caves and turquoise inlets — accessible only by water — with an expert guide who knows every hidden passage. One of the Mediterranean's most extraordinary natural experiences.
What to expect
Setting out from the Calanques' edge, your guide leads you through a sequence of increasingly dramatic inlets — En-Vau's cathedral white cliffs, the sea cave at l'Oeil de Verre, a hidden shingle beach where you'll swim in water of Caribbean clarity. Paddle technique is taught at the start; no experience is needed. Midway, the group pulls up on a limestone ledge for a snack and a silence broken only by lapping water and seabirds. The return paddle into the afternoon light, cliffs turning amber, is a moment that stays with you for life.
Good to know
Kayak tours depart from Cassis or the Calanques trailhead — arrange a private transfer from port (approx. 1 hr 20 min). Half-day tours run approx. 3.5 hours on water; pre-book well ahead as places are strictly limited by the national park. Bring water shoes, sunscreen and a dry bag for valuables.
