Sea Kayak the Helgeland Archipelago: Guided Coastal Safari

Paddle through a labyrinth of skerries, sea caves, and sheltered sounds in the world-class Helgeland coastal landscape — a guided kayak journey that puts you at water level among eagles, seals, and ancient fishing hamlets.

What to expect

After a thorough briefing and fitting for dry-suit or wetsuit, you launch from a pristine beach and immediately enter a world of glassy waters and dramatic coastal scenery. Your guide narrates the ecology, Norse history, and coastal geology as you paddle. Look for white-tailed eagles overhead and harbour seals hauled out on sun-warmed rocks. The return route often passes a traditional fisherman's rorbu for a coffee stop.
