Slip beneath the surface in some of the Galápagos' most biodiverse waters on a small-group snorkelling safari led by a certified marine naturalist. Playful sea lions, green sea turtles, and white-tip reef sharks are the standard — not the exception.
What to expect
Your marine naturalist briefs the group on Galápagos underwater etiquette before the boat anchors at the prime snorkel site adjacent to Plaza Sur. Entering the water, you are immediately surrounded by Galápagos sea lions — twisting, spiralling, and blowing bubbles inches from your mask in what can only be described as an aquatic ballet. Green sea turtles graze serenely on algae-covered rocks, and a patrol of white-tip reef sharks glides below in the deeper channel. Your guide points out Pacific seahorses, Moorish idols, and the endemic Galápagos damselfish throughout. Surface intervals are spent on deck with fresh fruit and cold drinks.
