What to expect
Your captain pilots the powerful RIB out into the Maas river and into the working heart of Rotterdam's vast port complex — the world's busiest outside Asia. Towering alongside vessels ten stories high, you gain an almost surreal sense of scale before the boat opens up to full throttle past the futuristic Erasmus Bridge. The Euromast tower, the Hotel New York, and the glittering new city skyline form a spectacular panorama from the water. Waterproof jackets are provided; expect to get windswept and energised.
Good to know
Departures run from the Erasmus Bridge landing stage, a short taxi or water taxi ride from the cruise terminal. Tours operate in most weather — dress in layers. Book in advance as capacity is limited to small groups; mornings offer the best light for photography.
