Sail from Kavala across the glittering northern Aegean to Thassos — Greece's greenest island — aboard a private yacht, with swimming in crystal coves and a seafood lunch in the harbour village of Limenas.
What to expect
Cast off from Kavala's picturesque harbour and sail across to Thassos, the northernmost Greek island, draped in pine and marble. Anchor in a secluded bay for a swim in water of exceptional clarity, then continue to the charming old harbour of Limenas for grilled octopus, fresh fish, and chilled Thassos rosé. Your skipper times the return crossing perfectly against your ship's departure. The crossing and island scenery alone are worth the journey.
Good to know
Thassos ferry runs frequently from Kavala Port (Keramoti terminal, 35 min) — but a private charter leaves from the main harbour. Confirm your ship's all-aboard and build in a 45-min buffer for the return crossing plus docking. Book private charters at least 3–4 weeks ahead in peak season (June–September). Seas are generally calm but can be choppy in afternoon winds — depart early.
