Descend into Bermuda's most spectacular natural wonder — a pair of ancient limestone caves adorned with stalactites that drip into perfectly still, crystal-clear underground lakes. One of the rarest geological spectacles in the entire Atlantic.
What to expect
You descend a steep pontoon walkway into Crystal Cave, where the temperature drops and the world transforms: stalactites and stalagmites stretch toward a lake of improbable clarity, lit to an ethereal aquamarine. Guides recount the story of two boys who discovered the cave in 1907 while searching for a lost cricket ball. The Fantasy Cave tour adds a second cavern with even denser formations and a more intimate atmosphere. The whole experience is genuinely jaw-dropping and unlike anything above ground.
Good to know
Caves are located in Bailey's Bay (~20 min by taxi from Hamilton dock). First entry is typically 9 a.m.; last tour ends well before 5 p.m. Wear closed-toe shoes — the pontoon walkways can be slippery. Book tickets directly at caves.bm to avoid any wait. Total visit (both caves) runs about 75–90 minutes, leaving ample time to return before all-aboard.
