What to expect

Your private boat glides along the Sørfjord past the UNESCO-listed Hardanger orchards — apple, pear, cherry and plum trees cascade to the waterline. Your host serves award-winning Hardanger cider produced just metres from the shore, alongside cured fjord trout, local Kvikne's cheese and dark rye bread. The boat pauses at the base of the Steindalsfossen waterfall for a moment of pure Hardanger drama. The return journey is timed perfectly to enjoy the evening light on the fjord.
