What to expect
After a safety briefing and snowmobile orientation, your small convoy sets off across the vast Finnmarksvidda — the largest plateau wilderness in Northern Europe. Guides monitor the KP index live and steer toward the clearest skies, stopping at a traditional Sami lavvu (tent) for reindeer stew and hot cloudberry juice. When the lights ignite overhead, guides assist with long-exposure photography. The return ride under the Aurora is simply magical.
Good to know
Evening departure typically 7–8 pm; tour lasts 3–4 hours. Thermal snowmobile suits, helmets and boots are provided. A valid driving licence is required to drive solo. Book as far ahead as possible — these sell out weeks before ship arrivals.
