Walk the ancient rainforest of Mossman Gorge with a Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal guide and enter a living Dreamtime landscape. Swim in the crystal boulder-strewn gorge, then join a smoking ceremony and taste traditional bush tucker. Profound, rare, and deeply moving.
What to expect
A shuttle from Mossman Gorge Centre takes you to the trailhead, where your Kuku Yalanji guide leads you through pristine lowland rainforest, pausing to identify medicinal plants, share Dreamtime stories, and explain traditional practices. The walk ends at the gorge itself — a series of granite boulders and clear green swimming holes — where you can cool off before the return shuttle. A smoking ceremony and bush tucker tasting complete the experience.
