Blast across the shimmering Delta waters aboard a 300hp private speedboat, exploring hidden sandbanks, tidal inlets and remote beaches — crowned with a gourmet beach lunch. A thrillingly intimate way to see Zeeland's iconic water landscape.
What to expect
Your captain meets you at Breskens harbour and whisks you across the Westerschelde and Grevelingenmeer, pointing out seal colonies and storm-surge gates up close. The boat pulls up on a secluded tidal beach where a fresh Zeelandse lunch — oysters, mussels and local bread — is laid out just for you. The return leg takes in the dramatic Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier, one of the engineering wonders of the modern world, seen from the water as it was meant to be. Expect salty air, exhilaration and the kind of silence that only comes when the engine is cut in the middle of open water.
Good to know
Departs from Breskens Ferry Terminal — approximately 30 min by taxi from Vlissingen cruise dock. Book well in advance as private charters fill quickly in summer. All-aboard is typically 17:00–18:00; the 3-hour tour leaves comfortable margin if you depart by 12:00.
