Magical Saltstraumen Small-Group Tour – The Private Edition

The award-rated 'Magical Saltstraumen Tour' takes a maximum of four guests by private vehicle to the world's mightiest tidal current, with a local expert guide, flexible stops and unhurried time on the viewing bridge as the maelstrom boils beneath your feet.

What to expect

Pickup from the port is included; the drive south skirts fjord-edge roads with impromptu photo stops chosen by your guide. At Saltstraumen the standing waves, boils and whirlpools reach their dramatic zenith — the roar is audible from the bridge. Your guide explains how the current sustains one of Norway's richest marine ecosystems. The return can include a stop at a local Arctic seafood shack for fresh cod or king crab.
