Skywire Nelson: New Zealand's Longest Flying Fox at Cable Bay

Hurtle across a dramatic valley at up to 100 km/h on the Skywire — four riders side-by-side on New Zealand's longest flying fox. The views over Cable Bay, native forest, and the Tasman Sea are breathtaking even before you hit full speed.

What to expect

A scenic 15-minute drive from Nelson brings you to Cable Bay Adventure Park. A short briefing and harness-up leads to a quad-bike or 4WD transfer to the top launch platform — itself a panoramic viewpoint worth the trip. Then you fly: 3 km of wire, a steep valley, and the Tasman glittering beyond. Most guests ride twice. The whole experience runs about 75 minutes and leaves you grinning for the rest of the day.
