Step aboard a private luxury yacht and sail the silken waters of Tasman Bay, gliding past the Boulder Bank — Nelson's extraordinary 13-km natural gravel spit — with views back to the snow-dusted Richmond Range. This is Nelson from its most privileged angle.
What to expect
Your skipper meets you at Nelson Marina and casts off into one of New Zealand's great sheltered bays. Sails fill as you round the Boulder Bank's dramatic shingle arc and anchor in a private cove for a swim in impossibly clear water. A generous grazing board of Nelson artisan cheese, charcuterie, and fresh seafood appears on deck. The return sail, with the city glowing against the ranges, is utterly serene. Exclusive use of the vessel means you set the agenda — request a longer sail, a second anchorage, or simply more time adrift with a glass in hand.
