Sacred Valley Private Day: Pisac Ruins, Market & Ollantaytambo

Journey through the heartland of the Inca Empire in a private vehicle — clifftop agricultural terraces at Pisac, an artisan market overflowing with colour, and the towering fortress of Ollantaytambo. The Sacred Valley in a single, perfectly curated day.

What to expect

Your private vehicle and bilingual guide collect you in Cusco and wind down into the lush Sacred Valley at 2,800 m — a welcome relief from altitude. Climb Pisac's Inca terraces for panoramic valley views, then browse the market for alpaca textiles and hand-carved gourds. Finish at Ollantaytambo, where massive granite blocks fit together without mortar in a fortress that repelled the Spanish conquistadors.

Good to know

The Cusco Tourist Ticket (boleto turístico, ~USD 45) covers both Pisac and Ollantaytambo and should be purchased in advance. Full-day tours run 8–9 hours; confirm your all-aboard time and factor in the 1.5-hour return drive to Cusco. Market days at Pisac are busiest on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
