Kayaking Among Icebergs: San Rafael Lagoon Paddle

Paddle a sea kayak through the surreal iceberg garden of Laguna San Rafael, gliding silently over glacial-blue water to the foot of one of the world's lowest-latitude tidewater glaciers. A bucket-list paddle in an almost entirely human-free wilderness.

What to expect

A support vessel transfers your small group to the lagoon entrance; from there you paddle through sculpted ice formations ranging from car-sized to house-sized. Your certified guide reads the shifting iceberg drift for safe routing. The turquoise and cobalt palette of the water is unlike anywhere else on Earth. Hot mate tea and Patagonian snacks mid-paddle complete the experience.
