What to expect
The first gondola lifts you to Morro da Urca, where there's a restaurant, live music stage, and sweeping coastal views. The Sugarloaf complex is a short taxi or rideshare from Copacabana (approx. 15 min). Pre-book a timed entry slot online to avoid long queues. Sunset slots (from 17:00) are the most sought-after — reserve at least 2–3 days ahead. Confirm your all-aboard time; most Copacabana port calls allow a comfortable sunset visit.
