Sunset Kayak Along Vanimo's Deserted Beach Coastline

Paddle a sea kayak along Vanimo's impossibly photogenic coastline at golden hour — a ribbon of white sand, palm silhouettes, and the Coral Sea turning amber. One of PNG's most serene and visually stunning experiences.

What to expect

Your local guide briefs you on paddling technique (no experience needed) and leads you south along Vanimo's beach arc, hugging the shoreline where the jungle meets the sea. Look for sea eagles riding thermals overhead, and the occasional dugong surfacing in the shallows. As the sun drops towards the Indonesian highlands across the border, the light turns molten gold — an outrageously beautiful moment best experienced from the water. Conclude with a beach-side fresh coconut before returning to port.
