Cook and feast inside a private Creole home with a local host — learning the spice-layered secrets of accras, colombo, and rum punch from scratch. The most intimate, table-first way to understand Martinican culture.
What to expect
Your host greets you at their home with a welcome ti-punch and a tour of the garden, where many of the herbs and chillies you will cook with are grown. Together you prepare two or three traditional Creole dishes from scratch — the host explains the African, French, and Indian threads that make Martinican cuisine unique. You sit down to eat what you have made, paired with local fruit juices or rum-based cocktails, in an atmosphere of genuine Martinican hospitality. The recipes come home with you.
