Board a small vessel and transit the full Panama Canal — from Caribbean to Pacific — passing through Gatun, Pedro Miguel and Miraflores locks. One of the great engineering wonders of the world, experienced from the water itself.
What to expect
Depart Colón's Cristobal Pier and enter the Gatun Locks as water thunders around you, rising 26 metres in three chambers. Glide across the freshwater Gatun Lake — the largest man-made lake of its era — before descending the Pedro Miguel and Miraflores locks toward Panama City. Your guide traces the canal's extraordinary 10-year construction, the yellow-fever crisis and the lives of the 75,000 workers who built it. A transfer back to Colón by road completes the circuit in time for all-aboard.
Good to know
Full-transit days operate on select dates — book at least 60 days ahead as capacity is strictly limited. Transfer back to Colón takes ~90 min; confirm all-aboard time before booking. Wear sun protection; open decks throughout.
