Geiranger: Mt. Dalsnibba Summit Hike with Private Mountain Guide

A private guided hike to the roof of the Geirangerfjord world at 1,500 m, traversing alpine meadows, ancient snow fields and glacier-carved ridges. The fjord panorama from the summit is Norway's most dramatic — earned on foot.

What to expect

Departing at first light when the fjord below is draped in mist, your guide leads you upward through wildflower-scattered alpine terrain, the silence broken only by snowmelt streams and the occasional golden eagle overhead. The summit plateau opens suddenly, revealing a 360° panorama of snow-capped peaks, glacier tongues and the impossibly blue fjord arms below. Your guide shares the deep geological story of how the ice age sculpted every feature you see. The descent follows a different ridge, doubling the scenery for your effort.
