What to expect
Meet your coach on the golden sands of Zurriola beach, where the rolling swells of the Bay of Biscay create some of the most consistent learner waves on the Atlantic coast. After a thorough beach briefing and warm-up, you'll be riding your first waves within the hour — with your coach in the water alongside you at all times. Between sets, pause to take in the extraordinary backdrop: the Kursaal Congress Centre's glass cubes glinting, the green hills of Ulia behind, and the city's rooftops tumbling to the sea. Post-surf, a cold Estrella Damm at the beach bar is obligatory.
Good to know
Zurriola is a 20-min walk from the cruise terminal or a short taxi ride. All equipment (board, full wetsuit) provided. Book the private coaching option for a truly bespoke session. Lessons run year-round; morning slots have the calmest conditions. Check all-aboard time — 2 hours is ample.
