That sequence respects opening hours and walking distances while still leaving time to breathe. If you prefer one slower, deeper experience over four checked boxes, drop the castle and linger longer in the center.
I would personally choose the Rietveld Schröderhuis ticket as the single must-do here. At USD 22 it is the cheapest of the bunch, it is a genuine UNESCO site with a limited number of visitors per slot, and it rewards the kind of traveler who likes to stand still and really look at something rather than tick off another castle. The rest of the day can be spent wandering between the DOMunder and Speelklok without ever needing wheels. The ship’s tour is fine if you want hand-holding, but on a compact port like this the markup buys you less peace of mind than usual. Book the house direct, walk everywhere else, and enjoy the fact that Utrecht does not require the usual cruise-port choreography.
