You’ll leave from Port Vell, motor past the harbor full of yachts, then cruise parallel to the beaches of Barceloneta, Bogatell, and Nova Icaria. Expect decent views of the city skyline from the water, a chance to see the beaches from a different angle, and a cold drink in hand. It’s not a party boat or a luxury experience for most operators — it’s pleasant, breezy, and very tourist-oriented. The boat usually stays within a few hundred meters of shore, so you won’t feel like you’re really out at sea.

The best time is late spring (May–June) or September–early October. The weather is warm but not brutally hot, the sea is usually calm, and you avoid the worst summer crowds and heat haze. Sunset departures are popular for a reason — they’re noticeably nicer than midday trips. Expect to pay around €25–45 per person depending on whether you choose a basic sail, a catamaran with drinks, or a sunset tour. Add a few euros if they include snacks or an open bar.
