Expect comfortable but not luxurious vans or small buses, a guide who speaks decent English, and a mix of walking and driving. The tours move at a steady pace; you’ll see a lot but won’t linger deeply anywhere. Traffic in Santiago can be heavy, so downtown-only tours often run smoother than the longer coastal ones.

The best time is October to April when days are longer and drier. Summer (Dec–Feb) is warm but can be hot and smoggy; shoulder months (Nov, Mar–Apr) usually give clearer skies and fewer crowds.
