An e-bike tour is one of the smartest ways to see Milan. In 3–4 hours you cover far more ground than walking without getting exhausted. Expect a mix of major sights (Duomo, Sforza Castle, Navigli) plus a few quieter neighborhoods most tourists miss. The ride itself is easy — the motor does most of the work — so it’s comfortable even if you’re not fit or it’s hot. Groups are usually small (6–12 people). Traffic is real in the center, but decent guides keep you on bike lanes and calmer streets where possible.
Best time is April–June or September–early October. Summers are hot and sticky, and August many locals leave so the city feels half-empty but some places close. Expect to pay around $55–$90 per person for a decent small-group tour with a live guide. Cheaper self-guided rentals exist but you’ll waste time getting lost and miss the context.
Pick a tour that includes both the historic center and the Navigli area; skip anything that promises “all of Milan in 2 hours” or massive 20-person groups. Bring a hat, water, and comfortable shoes — the e-bike does the pedaling, but you’ll still walk a bit at stops.
