Is Gardens by the Bay Worth It?

Expect a very impressive, highly manicured park with two huge cooled conservatories (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) filled with plants from around the world, plus the outdoor Supertree Grove that lights up at night. The Cloud Forest has a tall indoor waterfall and a decent elevated walkway; the Flower Dome is more about seasonal flower displays and Mediterranean-style gardens. The whole place is clean, easy to walk, and very photogenic, but it feels quite commercial and crowded on weekends. It's a solid half-day activity rather than a full-day one.

Best time to visit is during the drier months from February to April. Evenings are nicer for the outdoor light show (around 7:45pm and 8:45pm), so many people come late afternoon, see the conservatories while it's still light, then stay for the Supertree show. Expect to pay around $25–40 per person for the two main conservatories plus the skyway if you want it; just walking the outdoor gardens and seeing the Supertrees at night is completely free.

Honest tips: Buy the combo ticket for both conservatories but skip the OCBC Skyway unless you're really into views — the walk through the Supertrees at ground level is better. Prioritise the Cloud Forest over the Flower Dome if you're short on time. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes; the conservatories are air-conditioned but the outdoor areas get humid fast.
