The Bali jungle swing is exactly what it sounds like: giant swings hanging over steep river valleys and rice terraces near Ubud. You’ll get pushed out over the jungle canopy for that stomach-drop adrenaline moment, then spend most of the time posing for photos in nests, on heart-shaped rocks, or lying in oversized beds. It’s fun, a bit touristy, and very photogenic. Expect 45-90 minutes on site depending on how busy it is and how many swings you rotate through. The views are genuinely beautiful, especially if you go early before the crowds build up.
Best time is the dry season (May to September) when the weather is most reliable and the rice terraces look their greenest. Avoid the peak of rainy season (January-February) as the swings often close or get very slippery. Expect to pay around $45–70 per person for a standard package that includes multiple swings, nests, and a welcome drink. Private or “luxury” experiences with fewer people push toward the higher end.
Pick the higher swings if you actually want the thrill; the giant ones (over 20m) are the main reason most people go. Skip the helicopter nest and heart rock if you’re short on time – they’re cute but the real fun is the swings themselves. Wear comfortable clothes, bring bug spray, and don’t force it if you’re scared of heights. It’s a fun half-day activity when combined with other Ubud stops, but it’s not life-changing.
