Lands End Arch Tour in Los Cabos: Worth It?

The Lands End Arch boat tour takes you from the marina out to the famous rock arch where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. Expect a 45-minute to 1-hour ride on a small boat or catamaran, passing sea lions, brown pelicans, and the dramatic rock formations. Most tours stop at Lovers Beach for photos and a quick swim if conditions allow. The water can get choppy near the Pacific side, so the ride isn't always smooth. It's a solid way to see the iconic Cabo landmark without needing to hike or rent a kayak.

Best time is November through May when seas are calmer and whale watching is possible. Summers are hotter, with rougher water and higher chance of cancellations. Expect to pay around $35–$75 per person depending on boat size, whether it includes snorkel gear, drinks, or a guide who actually points things out. Smaller pangas are cheaper but wetter; bigger catamarans are more comfortable and stable.

Tip: Choose a morning departure to avoid the worst afternoon wind and crowds. Skip the cheap no-name operators that pack 30 people on one boat with a bored driver—if possible, go with a smaller group that actually stops at the beach and gives you time to swim. Bring a waterproof bag for your phone and a light jacket; it gets surprisingly cool on the water.
