You'll spend a few hours bouncing along rocky dirt tracks in a two-person UTV, heading to the north and east sides of the island that most tourists never see. Expect dramatic rocky coastline, short stops at viewpoints, and usually a visit to the Natural Pool (Conchi) where you can swim if the ocean isn't too rough. The ride itself is loud, dusty, and fun if you like driving; it's not a relaxing sightseeing trip. Tours last 2–4 hours and include safety briefings, helmets, and basic instruction. Groups are small but you'll still share the trail with other vehicles.
Best time is January through April when it's dry and the dust is manageable. June to November brings more rain, which can turn trails muddy and make the Natural Pool unsafe for swimming. Expect to pay around $95–$140 per person for a shared tour or $250–$300 for a private vehicle for two. Prices usually cover water and sometimes a snack.
Pick the shorter morning tour if it's your first time driving off-road; the terrain gets tiring. Skip the add-on cliff jumping if you're not already comfortable jumping from 15–20 feet into ocean swells. Bring a bandana or buff for dust, wear closed shoes, and don't underestimate the sun even on cloudy days.
