You’ll sit in a historic theater with decent sightlines from most seats. The audience is a mix of tourists and Venetians; dress is smart casual to formal depending on the performance. In summer the schedule is lighter and can feel more tourist-oriented; spring and fall generally have stronger seasons.

Expect to pay around €40–€120 for a decent seat in the stalls or boxes for a standard opera. Gallery or upper tier seats can start from €25–€35 but are cramped with limited views. Skip-the-line theater tours with audio guides run about €15–€25 if you just want to see the building without attending a show.
