Expect a mix of dusty palm groves, small villages, and agricultural plots rather than wild desert. Most rides last 1–2 hours on decent horses that know the route well. You’ll trot gently, stop for mint tea at a small Berber tent or garden, then ride back. It’s peaceful once you leave the main roads, but you’ll still hear occasional scooters and see plastic litter. Not a wilderness experience, but genuinely relaxing compared with the city chaos.

Skip the very cheapest camel/horse combo tours that feel like conveyor-belt experiences with big groups and tired animals.
