Expect a surreal but genuinely fun experience: real snow at -6°C inside a massive refrigerated hall attached to a Dubai mall. There are five runs from gentle nursery slopes to a 400m main piste with a 60m vertical drop. You can ski, snowboard, toboggan or just wander in the snow park. It's not a substitute for the Alps but it's surprisingly well-maintained powder and the novelty of carving turns while it's 45°C outside is hard to beat. Crowds can build in the evenings and on weekends, so weekday afternoons tend to feel more relaxed.
Best time is November to March when outdoor heat is tolerable and indoor demand is slightly lower. Expect to pay around $60–$110 per person for a two-hour session including basic gear rental and lift pass; add-ons like lessons or longer stays push it toward $150–$200. Go for the standard ski or snowboard slope pass and skip the overpriced penguin encounters or snow tubing if you're there to actually ski.
