Tandem Skydiving in Dubai: What You Should Know

Tandem skydiving in Dubai is about as close as you can get to a pure adrenaline hit with almost zero skill required. You’ll jump from around 13,000 feet, freefall for roughly 60 seconds at speeds over 120 mph, then float under canopy for another 5-7 minutes. The view is genuinely impressive: the Palm, the Burj Khalifa, the desert, and the coastline all laid out at once. The actual jump itself is over quickly, but the whole experience from arrival to landing takes 3–4 hours including briefing, gearing up, and transfers. It’s safe when done properly — you’re literally strapped to a professional who handles everything.

The best time is November to March when it’s cooler and the winds are usually calmer. Summer jumps are possible but the heat on the ground before and after the flight is brutal, and visibility can suffer from haze. Expect to pay around $1,100–$1,600 per person depending on whether you want photos, video, or pickup from your hotel. The cheaper end usually includes just the jump and basic still photos from the instructor’s helmet cam.

Book the Palm drop zone if you want the iconic view over the islands and ocean; the desert drop zone is cheaper but far less interesting. Skip any add-on “VIP” packages or extra external cameras — the standard tandem video from your instructor is usually enough and much better quality than what you’ll get from a rented GoPro you barely know how to use while terrified.
