You’ll get a wristband for locker access, change in mixed or single-sex areas depending on the ticket, and spend a few hours moving between different temperature pools. It’s genuinely enjoyable if you like hot water and people-watching, less so if you want total peace and quiet.

Best time to visit is spring or autumn. Summer gets very crowded and hot, while winter is magical – sitting in steaming outdoor pools while it’s cold outside is the classic Budapest experience.
