Expect ornate rooms filled with antiques, marble floors, and heavy drapery inside the mansion, plus 10 acres of formal gardens with fountains, statues, and waterfront views. It's a peaceful, self-paced wander rather than a thrill ride. Most visitors spend 1.5–2.5 hours here. The house can feel crowded on weekends, but the gardens usually offer breathing room. It's genuinely pretty, though some find the interior a bit stuffy if you're not into decorative arts.

Best time to visit is January–April when the weather is pleasant and the gardens look their sharpest. Expect to pay around $20–30 per adult; kids are cheaper and under-6s are usually free.
